| Server upgrade
We have recently upgraded the aledobb.com domain email
server. When logging in, please note: If you did not use your
full email address before, you will be required to do so now (eg
"jdoe@aledobb.com" instead of "jdoe").
Otherwise, your username and password have NOT
changed, and no emails were lost during the upgrade. If you feel some of your emails and/or email settings did
not transfer to the new server, click here
to log in to the old server to retrieve them. The old
server will only be available till August 20, 2010.
NOTE to iPhone users: We have seen a few iPhones
that have lost the ability to communicate with our new mail
server. If your iPhone won't download emails, please delete
the mail account on your iPhone and re-create it, using the
same settings you had before. |
There are two ways you can access your Aledo BroadBand email: by web or by
using email software such as Outlook, Netscape, Thunderbird or
Eudora. The latter is recommended.
- Access by web
log in to your email, change your password, etc. Your Username
is your full email address, ("jdoe@aledobb.com", not
"jdoe"). Contact us if you don't
remember your password. Be sure to include your phone number in
the Comments.
Your browser's default security settings are sufficient for
email access. Some companies require their employees to increase
the browser's security settings to the point that the mail
website won't let you log in. If this is the case, please
contact your company's IT staff to confirm what security
settings they will allow.
- Access by POP3 Software (such as Outlook, Thunderbird,
Windows Mail, Eudora,
etc). This method is preferred. Server settings are as
follows:
- POP3: mail.aledobb.com
SMTP: mail.aledobb.com
Username: yourmail@aledobb.com
Password: yourpassword

(Please note that if you use software such as Outlook, Outlook
Express, Thunderbird, Netscape, etc, once you've downloaded an email to your
computer, the default setting for your software removes the
email from the server. That particular email can no longer be accessed via the web
since it is now on your computer.) For instructions on configuring Outlook to send emails
when you're traveling, click here.
To add or delete an email address, send an email to support.
Domain Owners: If you own your own domain name and Aledo BroadBand hosts your emails,
your email access is http://mail.yourdomain.com.
You can administrate your emails (add, remove, change email
accounts) by going to http://mail.yourdomain.com/MEAdmin.
